Ochsner Models Itself After The Apple Store, Letting Pregnant Mothers Use Gadgets To Monitor Their Health At Home
Ochsner Health System (Ochsner) recently enrolled 1,000 pregnant women into its Connected MOM program. Connected MOM stands for Connected Maternity Online Monitoring, and is offered free of charge as a way to help expectant mothers manage their pregnancy with fewer visits to the obstetrician.
The Connected MOM program provides services such as wireless blood pressure cuffs and weight scales that can be used in the home. These devices are offered through Ochsner’s O Bar—modeled after Apple’s Genius Bar—which offers the latest in cutting-edge, interactive health technology to help consumers manage their health and wellness . . .
