Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada-based Nova Leap has completed its acquisition of the business assets of Careforce Home Care Workers Cooperative Limited. Nova Leap has been rapidly growing in Canada and into the United States—specifically—New England and northeastern United States.
Nova Leap is a publicly traded company with an aggressive growth plan. It is a home care and support services provider that acquires, manages, and builds home care companies. It focuses its acquisition strategy on private pay non-medical and skilled home health care agencies specializing in dementia. In the United States market, it does accept some long-term care insurance and Veteran’s Affairs benefits, and is eyeing acceptance of Medicare Advantage. Careforce is a Canada-based home health care agency and worker cooperative that provides housekeeping services, post-surgical assistance, and home nursing visits.
Nova Leap has 600 employees throughout Nova Scotia, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts. Careforce Home Care Workers Cooperative Limited has been providing in-home assistance to residents of Pictou County and Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia for 25 years.
