The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) recently launched a new online portal. The launch is done in an effort to support new health technologies as they attempt to move from inception to adoption within the United Kingdom (UK) health market.
By utilizing the free portal, organizations developing up-and-coming health technologies will be able to learn what information they need to provide decisionmakers as they seek routes to market adoption and success for their offerings. To enter and update information about their developing technology, these organizations must register on the HealthTech Connect website (www.healthtechconnect.org.uk). That information will then be assessed for suitability by organizations that provide support to health technology developers.
The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) provides national guidance and advice to improve health and social care. More specifically, NICE seeks to improve outcomes for people using the National Health Service (NHS) and other public health and social care services by producing evidence-based guidance and advice, developing quality standards and performance metrics, and providing a range of information services.
This was reported by NICE on April 29, 2019.
