Next Step Resource & Recovery Center Opens On Staten Island
Next Step Resource and Recovery Center, a 24-hour facility to help those struggling with substance abuse, has opened on Staten Island. The facility offers such services as peer coaching, referrals to rehab, job training, and recreation opportunities in a safe, substance-free area.
Funded through a $1.75 million grant from the state Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services, the new center is part of District Attorney Michael McMahon's HOPE Program, where low-level drug offenders can get treatment to get their charges dropped.
