New Mental Health & Addiction Crisis Center Officially Opens In Asheville
A new mental health and addiction crisis center that has been more than a year in the making, will open Thursday in Asheville. Mental health advocates say the center will provide care in a positive atmosphere that encourages recovery and also ease the strain on local emergency departments, which have been overwhelmed by people seeking behavioral health care. The center is the first of its kind in Western North Carolina and will offer mental health and substance abuse crisis care around the clock.
