New Jersey Seeks To Prevent Consumer Mix-ups With “Master Person Index”
New Jersey announced it is creating a "Master Person Index" (MPI) in an effort to decrease the likelihood of consumer mix-ups and medical errors. The New Jersey Innovation Institute is developing the index with the help of a $2.9 million grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology.
