The Children and Young Persons Integrated System (CYPrIS) is being implemented by the Aneurin Bevan University Health Board, and expected to rollout to other organizations throughout the remainder of this year and 2019. The CYPrIS system was developed by NHS Wales Informatics Service, and seeks to ensure that every child in Wales has an active care record.
By implementing CYPrIS, more clinical professionals will now have access to additional children’s health information, allowing them to make more informed health care decisions. CYPrIS—which also provides organizations with data and statutory reporting requirements—is currently also in use by the Healthy Child Wales and National Childhood Immunization programs. According to statements from NHS Wales Informatics Service’s leadership, the launch of CYPrIS means that Wales now has a single, national repository for all child health data.
NHS Wales Informatics Service, in partnership with NHS Wales organizations, delivers the digital health services needed for modern patient care. As a public service organization, NHS Wales Informatics Service supplies more than 70 software services to users across NHS Wales and to other parts of the United Kingdom.
