New Housing For Homeless Youth Opens In Yonkers
A new housing facility, The Bruce Avenue Youth (BAY) House, opened for homeless youth in Yonkers, New York. The facility will provide four units and 16 beds of transitional housing for young adults.
The BAY aims to provide young adults the opportunity to get back on track with education, employment, and other goals so that they can transition to independent living. The $3.2 million project was funded in full by the state Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance’s Homeless Housing and Assistance Program (HHAP).
HHAP provides capital grants and loans to not-for-profit corporations and to organizations . . .
