New Childhood Mental Health Facility With $56 Million In State Funding Opening In Richmond
A new facility, the Virginia Treatment Center for Children (VTCC), will open in Richmond in the spring of 2018. The pediatric behavioral health facility has already received $56 million in state funding, in addition to raising about $10 million in funds.
VTCC will be 199,000 square-feet and add an additional eight inpatient rooms and eight outpatient rooms to the location’s existing treatment center, located at the Children’s Hospital of Richmond at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). The executive director for the center states that they will be hiring more staff in order to accommodate the expected increase . . .
