Netsmart recently announced its plans to implement industry-first interoperability standards that will support transparency and improve communications between health care provider organizations. The new standards will focus on three key areas: improving referral management, closing communication gaps, and enabling transparency between care settings.
To accomplish these objectives, Netsmart will begin implementing its new 360X standards, which support the automation of closed-loop referrals, helping to streamline the ways primary care providers (PCPs) are informed and how they can track consumers as they see specialists outside of a primary care setting. According to statements from Netsmart CEO Mike Valentine, the organization believes being able to further connect all health care is vital to ensuring the best health outcomes for consumers of health care provider organizations to thrive within a value-based landscape.
Netsmart designs, builds and delivers electronic health records (EHRs), solutions, and services that are powerful, intuitive and easy-to-use. Its platform provides accurate, up-to-date information that is easily accessible to care team members in behavioral health, care at home, senior living, and social services.
