Mount Sinai Health Acquires South Nassau Hospital
Mount Sinai Health recently announced it is acquiring South Nassau Hospital. The hospital—which was one of the last remaining independent hospital on Long Island—will become the eighth hospital in the health system.
While the financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed, Mount Sinai has stated that it will be providing $120 million to fund South Nassau’s facility plan to expand several of its units and facilities. As part of the purchase, South Nassau’s current board of directors—along with two new members from South Nassau’s board—will continue to govern over the 455 . . .
