MatrixCare Acquires SigmaCare

SigmaCare has been bought by electronic health records vendor MatrixCare. The acquisition continues the ongoing trend of mergers among electronic health records vendors, with MatrixCare being one of the primary driving forces.

Despite the purchase, Sigmacare will be able to continue marketing its existing product lines for the next five years, according to a statement from MatrixCare. MatrixCare has additionally remarked that it intends to not only retain the vast majority of SigmaCare's employees, but also pave the way for the creation of new positions.
