Kaiser Ends Medicaid Coverage For 2.5K Consumers In Colorado
Kaiser Permanente Colorado (Kaiser) recently announced it will no longer be serve as a Medicaid health plan in the northern, southern, and mountain service areas of Colorado. The change will result in the termination of coverage for about 2,500 consumers.
Despite the decision, Kaiser will continue to offer Medicaid manged care to consumers throughout the Denver-Boulder area. According to statements from Kaiser, the organization felt the decision was the best way to support the state’s new Accountable Care Collaborative initiative. The organization also remarked that it will re-evaluate its participation in Medicaid on an annual basis . . .
