On July 19, 2019, JusticeWorks YouthCare were informed that the Pennsylvania Juvenile Court Judge’s Commission (JCJC) had chosen the organization to receive the 2019 Community-Based Program of the Year award. JusticeWorks was nominated by the Berks County Juvenile Probation Department.
JusticeWorks and Berks County Juvenile Probation have maintained a strong partnership for over ten years. The organization depends on their collaboration with their public partners for exceptional support in the success of the youth that are served.
JusticeWorks will receive the award at the 2019 James E. Anderson Pennsylvania Conference on Juvenile Justice to be held on November 6-8, 2019 at the Harrisburg Hilton and Towers. The conference is sponsored by the Juvenile Court Judges’ Commission, the Pennsylvania Council of Chief Juvenile Probation Officers, the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency, and the Juvenile Court Section of the Pennsylvania Conference of State Trial Judges.
JusticeWorks Family of Services creates innovative programs which identify and build on family and youth strengths. The organization provides structure to positively redirect lives. The organization seeks to keep children safe, improve family functioning and assist teens’ transition to becoming good citizens, while making communities safer.
