Johnson & Johnson (J&J) recently announced plans to open a 32,000-square-foot JLABS life sciences incubator at the Children’s National Health System’s (Children’s) research campus in the District of Columbia. The J&J incubator will serve as the 13th such center from the health care organization.
The new incubator will create space on Children’s campus dedicated to helping pharmaceutical, medical device, consumer, and health technology organizations research and create new treatments and technologies for care. Anticipated to open in 2020, the incubator will fuel Children’s plans to eventually expand its research programs into the areas of pediatric genomic and precision medicine.
