Intermountain Healthcare To Put $12 Million Toward Issues Like Housing, Food Insecurity

Intermountain Healthcare (Intermountain) recently announced it is investing $12 million into non-medical needs of consumers, such as housing and food insecurity. The investments come as part of Intermountain’s participation in a new collaborative in Ogden and St. George, Utah, known as the Utah Alliance for the Determinants of Health (the Alliance).

In addition to housing and food insecurity, the Alliance will also focus on transportation access and domestic violence. The $12 million in funding from Intermountain will be distributed over a three year period, being utilized by the city, county, and state agencies—as well as community groups . . .
