IBM & Rensselaer Team To Create Cognitive Tools Research Center
IBM and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute have created the Center for Health Empowerment by Analytics, Learning, and Semantics (HEALS) for cognitive tools development. This five-year, collaborative research effort will research how advanced cognitive computing capabilities can help people understand and improve their own health conditions. The hope is to determine more effective treatments for consumers while increasing health care efficiency.
The new center will attempt to use data-driven discovery and analysis to understand chronic disease prevention, and will develop cognitive tools for health empowerment. The center will also work to collect and analysis user-generated data from lifestyle questionnaires . . .
