Humana Expands Board Of Directors With Former Federal Health Administrator

For the second time this year, Humana  Inc. (Humana) has expanded its board of directors. The company recently announced it would be adding Karen DeSalvo, M.D., as the board’s 12th and newest member.

Ms. DeSalvo formerly served as a government public health administrator and university administrator. Her most recent position prior to the new appointment was with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, working as a national coordinator for health information technology, as wel as the assistant secretary for health in department.
