HHS Announces $20 Billion For New Provider Relief Fund Phase 3 Distribution
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), through the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), announced $20 billion for a new Phase 3 distribution for the Provider Relief Fund for provider organizations who treat those with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). Under this Phase 3 General Distribution allocation, provider organizations that have already received Provider Relief Fund payments will be invited to apply for additional funding that considers financial losses and changes in operating expenses caused by the coronavirus. Applications opened on October 5, 2020, and will close November 6, 2020.
