Fitbit Enters Into Health Care With Acquisition Of Twine Health
Fitbit entered into the realm of health care with a recent announcement that it will be acquiring Twine Health. Financial terms of the purchase have not yet been disclosed.
Twine Health’s technology combines artificial intelligence (AI) with personalized coaching in order to help consumers with diabetes and hypertension manage their conditions. Twine’s current CEO, John Moore, MD, will become Fitbit’s medical director as part of the acquisition deal.
