Fentanyl-Laced Drugs Found In Southern Kentucky
London, Kentucky is the latest town to report fentanyl-laced drug issues, resulting in overdoses, and even death. Fentanyl is an opiate that is 100 times more powerful than morphine, and mixing it with heroin increases the potency of both drugs, resulting in an increase in emergency room treatment in many instances. Heroin is currently the drug most often found mixed with fentanyl in the southern Kentucky area, both in large cities and small towns.
