Rapidly growing community-based mental health services provider is seeking an experienced behavioral health leader with strong matrix organizational experience in managing multi-state clinical teams and programs. This is a senior position reporting to our Chief Operating Officer with oversight of 6 direct reports and 25-30 field staff that support our operational teams. Based on our current growth this team will likely double in the next 18-24 months. Minimal overnight travel is required but presence in our respective markets throughout the year is important. Key Responsibilities
Executive Director of Behavioral Health Services has the primary responsibility for developing, planning, and supervising mental health services to improve the quality of life for mentally ill patients. Duties include answering any questions posed by patients, families, staff, government officials, or the greater public; hiring new staff, coordinating work schedules, supervising clinicians, overseeing the annual budget, assisting with new contracts, evaluating staff performance, and providing programming and workshop training and ensuring our we are abiding by the latest state or federal regulations.

Necessary Skills
This position requires a high level of clinical knowledge for understanding what patients with depression, anxiety, addiction, bipolar, schizophrenia, or other disorders need from their treatment. Candidates must be skilled communicators with the interpersonal skills, able to use technology and web-services for training and support and able to constantly supervise diverse staff members. Managerial, team-building, critical thinking, and decision-making skills are a must. Candidates should have the analytical skills for interpreting health outcomes, regulations and evidence-based practices and applying them in new protocols. Organization skills with a keen eye for detail is required to keep patient records, budgets, and schedules in perfect order. Being compassionate, sympathetic, and ethical in their leadership is a must.

Degree and Education Requirements
This position requires a master’s degree from an accredited graduate school in health science, psychology, social work, public health, counseling, or another behavioral health field. Having a Master of Health Administration (MHA) or Healthcare MBA and being a licensed clinicians with a Ph.D., M.D., or Psy.D. degree is a plus.
