Developmental Disabilities Center To Open Group Home In Wilmington
The Tammy Lynn Center for Developmental Disabilities, a center serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD), recently announced plans to open its first group home outside of Wake County, North Carolina. The $480,000 home—which will open on November 1st of this year—will serve four adults with I/DD.
According to a statement from the Tammy Lynn Center’s director of development and public relations, the location for the new center was selected in response to unmet needs for such services in the area. The new locations will serve as the fourth community-based group home . . .
