CVS Caremark announced the addition of five new companies to its Point Solution Management Service. The solution was launched in 2019 with the goal of making it easier for business to implement digital health tools. The new suite of companies are focused on mental health and weight management.
The new companies include Daylight, an app to help users manage worry and anxiety; Vida, a startup that offers personalized health coaching and therapy; Naturally Slim, an online weight loss program; Weight Watchers, which has built out its own digital plans; and Kurbo, a program designed by Weight Watchers to help children and adolescents make healthy lifestyle choices. The Point Solution Management Service model allows health plans to pay for digital health solutions based on how many of their members use a service as opposed to a flat access fee.
CVS Health has more than 9,900 retail locations, approximately 1,100 walk-in medical clinics, a leading pharmacy benefits manager with approximately 94 million plan members, a senior pharmacy care business serving more than one million consumers per year, and expanding specialty pharmacy services. CVS Health serves an estimated 38 million people through traditional, voluntary, and consumer-directed health insurance products and related services.
