Sacramento-based mental health practice Community Psychiatry Management, LLC has added six more outpatient offices in Southern California through two acquisitions. Community Psychiatry Management acquired Calabasas Behavioral Health of Calabasas and Gelbart and Associates of Torrance. The two acquisitions, completed in August 2019, add new therapies and new employees to Community Psychiatry Management. The financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
According to Julie Norris, director of Community Psychiatry, for professional staff, the mergers add eight psychiatrists, 18 therapists, and six psychologists to the Community Psychiatry roster of employees, which now totals over 100 employees. The company provides psychiatric care, psychotherapy, services for addiction, and with the Calabasas acquisition, it adds transcranial magnetic stimulation, which is used to treat obsessive compulsive disorder and depression.
Additionally, the Gelbart acquisition adds school-based psychotherapy and employee assistance therapy programs. The acquisition also adds offices in Carlsbad, Thousand Oaks, Simi Valley, Torrance, Redondo Beach, and Palos Verdes. That adds to existing offices in Los Angeles, San Diego, and Orange counties. In total, Community Psychiatry now has 41 outpatient offices throughout the state of California.
