VP of Behavioral Health Services-Medicaid, MI
Rapidly growing community-based mental health services provider is seeking an experienced behavioral health leader with strong matrix organizational experience in managing multi-state clinical teams and programs. This is a senior position reporting to our Chief Operating Officer with oversight of 6 direct reports and 25-30 field staff that support our operational teams. Based on our current growth this team will likely double in the next 18-24 months. Minimal overnight travel is required but presence in our respective markets throughout the year is important. Key Responsibilities
VP of Clinical Services has the primary responsibility for developing, planning, and overseeing a high quality and evidence-based residential-based mental health program; to ensure we improve the health and quality of life of the clients we serve. Duties include hiring, training and retaining new staff, coordinating work schedules, supervising clinicians, overseeing annual budgets, assisting with new contracts, evaluating treatment plans and staff performance, providing programming and workshop training for our staff and ensuring our we are in compliance with state or federal regulations.

Necessary Skills
This position requires a high level of clinical knowledge and experience with supporting adults with depression, anxiety, addiction, bipolar, schizophrenia, or other disorders. Candidates must be skilled communicators with the interpersonal skills, able to use technology and web-services for training and supporting subordinates located throughout statewide markets and able to constantly supervise diverse staff members. Managerial, team-building, critical thinking, and decision-making skills are a must. Candidates should have the analytical skills for defining, collecting and interpreting health outcomes data, regulations and evidence-based practices and applying them in an organized and consistent way that achieves results. Organization skills with a keen eye for detail is required to keep patient records, budgets, and schedules in perfect order. Being compassionate, sympathetic, and ethical in their leadership is a must.

Degree and Education Requirements
This position requires a master’s degree from an accredited graduate school in health science, psychology, social work, public health, counseling, or another behavioral health field. Having a Master of Health Administration (MHA) or Healthcare MBA and being a licensed clinicians with a Ph.D., M.D., or Psy.D. degree is a plus.
