Cognitive Impairment Toolkit Helps Provider Organizations With Detection, Earlier Diagnosis
The Gerontological Society of America (GSA) is now offering a free online toolkit to help provider organizations with detection and earlier diagnosis of cognitive impairment for older adult consumers. The new toolkit focuses on the four steps of GSA's KAER model for cognitive impairment detection and earlier diagnosis. The KAER acronym steps are:
- Kickstart the cognition conversation
- Assess for cognitive impairment
- Evaluate for dementia
