Rhode Island’s CODAC Behavioral Healthcare Earns Center Of Excellence Status For Opioid Treatment
The Rhode Island Department of Behavioral Healthcare, Developmental Disabilities and Hospitals has certified Community Organization for Drug Abuse Control (CODAC) Behavioral Health Care as the state's first center of excellence status for the treatment of opioid use disorders. This status is afforded to specialized treatment programs that meet or exceed established medication-assisted treatment requirements for addiction to heroin, prescription painkillers, and other opioids.
The certification means that CODAC Behavioral Healthcare is authorized to provide opioid use disorder treatment to all residents, including those enrolled in Medicaid.
