Children’s Healthcare Of Atlanta Advances Plan For New 446-Bed Hospital
Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta recently made advancements towards its plans to open a new 446-bed hospital. The organization accomplished this by filing a certificate of need with Georgia state officials.
In the United States, a certificate of need is a legal document required in many states before proposed acquisitions, expansions, or creations of facilities are allowed. If approved, the new hospital would be built on a 70-acre location, and open in 2025. Construction costs would go towards the hospital, a clinic and medical office building, a utility plant, and site improvements.
