Child and Family Services, New Hampshire’s oldest family service organization, recently rebranded as Waypoint. In addition to the new name, the organization is changing its digital medical presence, logo, and website.
According to a statement from Waypoint’s CEO, Borja Alvarez, the primary driving force behind the name change was feedback from consumers who stated that the organization’s previous name was not an accurate reflection of everyone it served. Mr. Alvarez stated that another reason for the name change was that the previous name sounded similar to a government agency, causing confusion amongst consumers. In addition to the rebranding, Waypoint also recently became the first organization of its kind in New Hampshire to become accredited by the Council on Accreditation, signifying that it meets the highest standards of practice in the field of human services.
Waypoint, formerly known as Child and Family Services of New Hampshire, is a non-profit and independent provider organization that provides a lifeline across the lifespan. Across 14 office sites and more than 28 programs, Waypoint provides family support services, charitable work, and other services.
