Blue Cross Launches Four New ACOs In Illinois

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois launched four new coordinated care groups. The accountable care organizations (ACOs) are partnerships with Presence Health, Alexian Brothers Health System, NorthShore University HealthSystem, and Kane County IPA. Presence Health is a Chicago-based hospital network with 11 hospitals, Alexian Brothers Health System is a five-hospital network based in northwest suburban Arlington Heights, and NorthShore University HealthSystem is a four-hospital network based in Evanston. Kane County IPA is a physicians group. With these new additions, Blue Cross now has nine ACOs in Illinois, which includes more than 450,000 patients.
