Behavioral Health Unit To Shut Down Ahead Of Tennova Physicians Regional Closure

Tennova Healthcare (Tennova) recently released new details on the upcoming closure of its two east Tennessee hospitals, Physicians Regional Medical Center (PRMC) and Lakeway Regional Hospital. The two hospitals—which will officially close on December 28—are located in north Knoxville and Morristown, respectively.

While some services offered at the two closing hospitals are expected to transition to other Tennova hospitals, it is not completely certain at this point if some—and which—services may no longer be available to consumers in the two regions.
