Banner Health Expands Wyoming Footprint, Acquires Wyoming Medical Center In Casper For More Than $200 Million
On August 13, 2020, the Natrona County Commissioners in Casper, Wyoming voted to approve the sale of the county-run Wyoming Medical Center (WMC) to Banner Health for more than $200 million. The hospital will join the Banner Health system and expand Banner Health’s presence in Wyoming.
The county opened the hospital in the 1980s. Non-profit WMC is the state’s largest hospital with 249 beds across two campuses, more than 45 medical specialties and 13 primary, specialty, and immediate care clinics.
