Apricot Case Management software received a $59 million investment from former Microsoft chief executive Steve Ballmer. Apricot, which comes from the Austin, Texas-based company Social Solutions identifies children in need of services such as meal support and tutoring.
Apricot draws information from numerous sources—such as after school programs and non-profit organizations—to identify trends and predict issues that a child may encounter or be encountering in their life. The $59 million in funds are expected to mainly target research and development of Apricot.
Social Solutions, Inc. develops and provides case management software for non-profit organizations to track data, manage cases, and measure outcomes. It offers Apricot, a case management solution that allows small non-profits to centralize their data, align their team, and prove their impact.
