Anthem To Sell Health Insurance Marketplace Plans In Virginia Counties That Don’t Offer Them
Anthem announced that it will sell Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) health plans in 68 Virginia cities and counties, beginning next year. The counties had been the only remaining in the U.S. to not have insurers offering the plans.
Many states have been losing insurers recently, as insurers have been exiting due to uncertainty over the future of ACA legislation. Initially, Anthem had planned on pulling out of Virginia, but later reversed its decision whenever no other insurers were offering ACA plans there.
