Advocate Aurora Health Care (Advocate Aurora Health) and Oak Street Health (Oak Street) recently announced they are partnering to open a new primary care center for adult Medicare consumers. The new facility is anticipated to open in Elgin, Illinois in April 2019.
The new facility will add to Oak Street’s portfolio of existing facilities, which include centers in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. The centers offer care to consumers with Medicare—including original Medicare Part B, some Medicare Advantage plans, Medicare Supplement or Medigap plans, and Medicare-Medicaid plans. The collaboration with Advocate Aurora Health is Oak Street’s first ever with a large integrated health system, and will help it to expand its services in Chicago’s northwest suburbs.
Advocate Aurora Health Care owns and operates a non-profit health care system to serve communities in eastern Wisconsin and northern Illinois. Oak Street Health is a Chicago-based company that operates a network of primary care centers specifically for Medicare consumers.
