Free Executive Web Briefing Courtesy Of Streamline Healthcare Solutions

There are a number of critical processes, tasks, behaviors, and leadership skills all organizations need to utilize as the health and human services market incorporates more technology. Using these skills when reviewing your procurement process is an essential step to ensuring you have the right Electronic Health Record (EHR) to meet your organization’s needs.

The EHR is no longer a “billing system” or a way to track “clinical notes” — it is instead the central nervous system of your company. It will be relied on to manage all parts of the clinical process, and will be what you turn to in order to prove the services you provide are “of value” to clients and payers. Your future will depend on fully embracing a more outcomes-based perspective, and following processes like CARF or the Joint Commission Accreditation. The days of saying, “I have a tech team for that,” are over.

  1. Know your organization’s processes and people required to take part in the procurement process planning
  2. Identify important functions and processes required by state and accrediting agencies
  3. Overcome barriers of organizational technology knowledge
  4. Coaching and facilitation for positive outcomes will warrant a successful procurement process
