California Seeks Women’s In-Prison Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Reentry Program Services
California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) awarded a contract to provide evidence-based cognitive behavioral therapy programming for inmates with a moderate to high risk to reoffend, an assessed criminogenic need as identified by the Correctional Offender Management Profiling for Alternative Sanctions, and/or other assessment(s) identified by CDCR to the Amity Foundation. CDCR’s goal in providing cognitive behavioral therapy programs at the reentry hubs is to address offenders’ criminogenic needs prior to release and to facilitate a successful transition back to their communities in order to reduce their likelihood of reoffending.
