A Time For Resilience
What allows some traumatized children to do better than others? TLC’s qualitative research with traumatized school-aged children resulted in this new resource, A Time for Resilience: Helping Children Become Resilient in a Traumatic World: A Guide for Professionals, by Caelan Kuban and William Steele. This evidence-based program includes activities and worksheets for teachers, staff and children to help build connections, continuity, dignity and opportunity. Also included is the book, Raising Resilient Children in a Traumatic World, which is a very helpful guide for use with parents and children.
This is great follow up to the I Feel Better Now Program. Lots of activities to use in schools, agency and home settings for parents to use with kids as well as for professionals to use with parents, kids both individually and in groups. For research outcomes go to the TLC web site.
For Professionals to use with children ages 6-12 and their parents
