Oklahoma DHS To Create 270 I/DD Waiver Slots For People On The Waiting List
On September 2, 2020, the Oklahoma Department of Human Services (OKDHS) announced it was adding services for 270 individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) currently on the waiting list. The new slots are possible due to legislation, Senate Bill (SB) 1932, that directed an additional $1.9 million to be invested in the Developmental Disabilities waiting list. With this funding, OKDHS Developmental Disability Services (DDS) will begin working with families who have been waiting for services since June 2007.
