Michigan Medicaid Considering Four Managed Long-Term Services & Support Options
The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) is considering four options for implementing a Medicaid managed long-term services and supports (MLTSS) program within the next five years. On March 6, 2019, MDHHS released the latest report on its investigation into the possibility of establishing a MLTSS system within this timeline. Beginning with a five-year overall timeline as a starting point, MDHHS intends to improve its existing LTSS systems and evaluate the MI Health Link demonstration program as a possible MLTSS model.
