Florida AHCA Issues Emergency Rule Requiring COVID-19 Testing For Nursing Home Staff Every Two Weeks
The Florida Agency for Health Care Administration issued an emergency rule requiring that all facility staff be tested for the virus every two weeks. Although the emergency order does not require that residents be tested, many of the facilities are testing residents independently. According to a spokeswoman for the Agency for Health Care Administration, if a resident shows any sign of COVID-19, the facility is expected to coordinate testing of that resident.
