Rural Technology-Assisted Addiction Treatment: The Chestnut Health System Model
As rates of addiction rise and more consumers seek treatment, federal lawmakers, state governments, and local stakeholders are looking for ways to improve access to treatment and build capacity. For consumers in rural areas getting access to treatment can be extra difficult due to the need to travel long distances, lack of public transportation, and the lack of a vehicle or drivers license.
