Mercy Maricopa Offers Medicaid Beneficiaries With SMI Four Integrated Care Options

Mercy Maricopa Integrated Care, the regional behavioral health authority serving Maricopa County, Arizona is in the process of launching four integrated behavioral health and primary care options for adult Medicaid beneficiaries with serious mental illness (SMI). Under its contract, Mercy Maricopa is at-risk for providing the full range of Medicaid state plan benefits for approximately 17,000 adult Medicaid beneficiaries with SMI. To allow beneficiary choice, the options include: a virtual health home, a patient-centered medical home (PCMH), a person centered health care home, and a co-located SMI clinic.
