OPEN MINDS hosting Financial & Information Technology Management Institute in New Orleans

“What an oddly characteristic thing it would be if it was a flood that saved New Orleans.”
- The New York Times Magazine, October 9, 2005

Gettysburg, Pennsylvania – While New Orleans is one of the most culturally rich cities in America, with its spicy food mix of Cajun and Creole and its mosaic of music from jazz and blues to Zydeco, it has also struggled as one of our nation’s poorest cities. The aftermath of hurricane Katrina will be felt for decades to come for New Orleaners, but the city itself has a chance at rebirth – a rarity in modern times. While only time will tell if New Orleans’ struggle turns to triumph, one thing is poignantly clear, it will take ‘roll up your sleeves’ know-how for its rebirth to come to fruition.

Survival is the theme as OPEN MINDS hosts behavioral health executives from around the country at its 2007 Financial & Information Technology Management Institute on February 1 and 2, 2007, at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside Hotel in New Orleans, Louisiana. For two days, nearly 100 executives from the field of behavioral health and social service will come together to discuss ways they can reduce expenses, increase organizational efficiency, and effectively budget and plan for the future. Senior members of the OPEN MINDS consulting team and selected financial and information technology experts from the field of behavioral health and social services will bring the current issues in the field to life with a combination of “how to” models, examples of what does (and does not) work, and opportunities to discuss financial and information technology management issues with executives from across the country. These experts will present a variety of “Best Practice Management Models” and “Executive Case Studies” sessions, including:
