Medicaid & Permanent Supportive Housing For Chronically Homeless Individuals: Literature Synthesis & Environmental Scan
In January 2011, the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation (ASPE) published a literature review on the role that Medicaid plays in covering the costs of the supportive services that help people keep their housing and improve their health and quality of life. Topics addressed, include: Why it is important to link housing assistance with Medicaid-funded health services; What Medicaid funding is available for housing and service models; Strategies for getting people who are chronically homeless enrolled in Medicaid; and health care reform and services in permanent supportive housing.
