14.3% Of Adults Had Expenses For Mental Health Disorders
About 14.3% of adults living in the community and between the ages of 18 and 64 had some health care expenses for mental health disorders in 2009 through 2011. Each year, about 27.5 million adults in this age group had mental health expenses totaling $48.2 billion annually. Average annual per-person mental health expenditures were $1,751 per person.
