A San Antonio outpatient mental health facility is vowing to remain open as long as possible after filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on the eve of foreclosure. La Paz Community Health Care Center, a for-profit corporation owned by a husband and wife, said it would continue caring for patients. Its 1.4-acre property at 516 San Pedro Avenue was scheduled to be auctioned at a foreclosure sale earlier this week, but the bankruptcy petition indefinitely halted that action.
