This document provides a summary of the initial set of
standards that will be required of electronic health records
to enable an eligible medical professional or facility to
demonstrate meaningful use of health information technology
to earn Medicare or Medicaid incentive payments. All
criteria are geared toward Stage 1 demonstrations of
meaningful use.
