 Motion for Preliminary Injunction in Karen W., et al., v. Sandford et al.
The plaintiffs asked the state Supreme Court to block pending cuts in waiver services for people with mental retardation and related disabilities. They said the
South Carolina Department of Disabilities and Special Needs should have used some of the $54 million in stimulus funding it received to offset service cuts
expected to take effect January 1, 2010, and maintain services levels present in July 1, 2008.
